Melissa Joan Hart, best known as "Sabrina the Teenage Witch," will be conjuring up a bundle of joy.

The former child star is expecting a child of her own with husband Mark Wilkerson, reports People magazine.

"I'm thrilled to death," says Paula Hart, the actress' mother. "Melissa is feeling great. So far, so good."

Hart, 29, first met Wilkerson, 28, the lead singer and guitarist for the rock trio Course of Nature, when she introduced his band at the Kentucky Derby in May 2002.

They were engaged seven months later and married in July 2003 in Florence, Italy in front of cameras for the ABC Family special "Tying the Knot: The Wedding of Melissa Joan Hart." This will be the first child for both.

Although Hart acted for a number of years as a child, she first rose to fame in the early '90s as the star of the Nickelodeon show "Clarissa Explains It All." She continued her success with the long-running "Sabrina the Teenage Witch," based on the Archie Comics character.

She's also stepped behind the cameras to direct episodes of "Sabrina," "So Weird" and "Taina." Her film credits include "Can't Hardly Wait," "Drive Me Crazy" and the upcoming "Jack Satin."
